NBA Predictions For Tonight
The NBA has a full docket of games on tap tonight. I’m not sure I would have predicted saying this 2 weeks ago, but the Raptors and the Hornets are a big match-up out east. Meanwhile, out west The Clippers and the Thunder are always a fun to watch. Elsewhere, the defending champion Cavs are in Washington to play the Wizards, fresh off their visit with the Potus. Here are your odds for tonight’s games.
The Toronto Raptors @ The Charlotte Hornets

BET THE RAPTORS (-116) AT BET365. I don’t think we’re being biased when we say the Raps will take the road win here. No team has benefited from a light schedule to start more than Charlotte. Come on! The Sixers, Bucks, Heat, Jazz and Nets to start the year? The only playoff-bound teams they’ve played are the Celtics and Pacers (who they crushed by 22, to their credit). Their success isn’t sustainable and Demar is currently on a scoring bender. He looks like a man who has finally figured it all out. Hornets will lose their second game of the year, and start to return to reality.
Cleveland Cavaliers@ Washington Wizards Prediction
BET THE WIZARDS (-116) AT BET365. The Cavs just tasted their first loss of the season against Atlanta and continue their Eastern road trip. The Wizards are the anti-Hornets right now. Their schedule is absolutely vicious to start their season, and they’ve played a playoff quality team nearly every game so far. They’re at home, coming off a win against Boston, and playing the defending NBA Champs. I say they raise their game and pick up the W in front of a hot Friday night crowd in DC. Let’s face it, these fans need a pick me up after the week (cough-Trump-cough) they’ve had.
The LA Clippers @ The OKC Thunder Prediction
BET THE CLIPPERS (-111) AT BET365. The Thunder just took a tough L from the Raptors at home. But that’s the type of year they’re going to have. They’re due to bounce back at home, but it’s not going to be easy. They don’t match up well against the Clippers, at all. Yes, they nearly beat LA in LA, but they’re going to have a tough time against teams with point guards that make Russell Westbrook work at the defensive end, and don’t need said point guard to score to win. That’s the Clippers for you. And they’re hot right now. Look for LA to steal one in OKC.
The New York Knicks @ The Boston Celtics Prediction
BET BOSTON (-111) AT BET365. I am simply not a believer in the Knicks this year. Nor should you be. They have no real wins this year. They won in D-Rose’s and Noah’s emotional return to Chicago, they beat a struggling Memphis team at home, and beat the Nets. The Celtics are coming off a trio of losses, and have been a defensive mess so far this season. They’ve got the third worst defense in the NBA, in the early going. But that should change. It has to. They’ve given up 118 or more points in all 3 of their recent losses. But, they’re home on a Friday, against an inconsistent team, before heading back on the road. The smart money's on green.
The Indiana Pacers @ Philadelphia 76ers Prediction
BET PHILADELPHIA (-105) AT BET365. WHEN, oh when, will Philly enter the win column? Our money is on Friday. Of course, they’re not favoured. They will probably only be favoured in 2 games for the rest of the season. BUT, they’re playing against the worst defensive team in the NBA right now. The Pacers are still very much trying to figure it all out. They’d like to be the Warriors of the east, but that requires more than just letting opponents score over 110 points a game. In fact, they just let these same Sixers score 115 and needed overtime to beat them at home. Philly is actually looking pretty decent going home for this one. The Sixers are away for their next two games after this, so they know this is their best chance to win this week.
