Tonight, I’ll settle for playing like John Wick. He doesn’t need to be super-human. Just a bad, bad, bad man. But it’s actually Lowry who will win or lose this game. The Cavs basically don’t lose when Irving plays well, so the Raps need to attack him. Kyle’s a week removed from giving Russell Westbrook 19 and 13 (and the W), so he still knows how to light up the game’s elite PGs.

BET THE HORNETS (-111) AT BET365. Colour me throw-back-teal, I’m starting to think the Hornets are a team that could make the playoffs. They started out 6-1, but have since dropped games to the Raptors and Cavs, pretty much the best two teams in the East. Yes, teams are still taking them for granted. But, with 6 wins and 2 single digit losses to quality teams (one being the world champs, on the champs’ floor). So they’ve basically played 8 good games in a row. That’s not nothing. Look for them to beat the Timberwolves, who are coming off a big win against the Lakers, and a massive night from Wiggins. But back-to-back good games is still a struggle for this young group.

BET THE LAKERS (-116) AT BET365. So about the Lakers. They’re not bad! 6-5 to open the season and sitting 8th in the West. They’re also returning home after a tough loss to a career night from Andrew Wiggins. So they’re poised to bounce back against the lowly Nets. They’ve also got the Spurs, Bulls, and Thunder coming up. So they best get while the gettin’ is good. The Nets have exceeded expectations after 10 games. By that I mean they’re not 1-9. They’re 4-6 with a pretty light schedule to start. I don’t see them having the firepower, especially if they rest Lopez tonight. Rumour is they’re going to sit him on back-to-backs, and they played last night.
The Atlanta Hawks @ The Miami Heat Prediction
BET THE HEAT (-111) AT BET365. Well, the Heat have dropped 5 in a row and are supposed to be the worst team in the NBA. But let’s be perfectly honest: Their schedule has been tough. They’ve only played two non-playoff caliber teams (The Magic and The Kings) all year. And they did win both those games. The bad news is that Atlanta is very much a playoff team, and currently look like they did in 2014. Atlanta has won 4 in a row, which includes a win over the Cavs, in Cleveland. Whiteside is enough to frustrate Howard tonight. And when Howard’s offensive production slips, so does the rest of his game. He’s only had 21 shots over the last 3 games combined. So look for him to try to get his early, which may not go well. Call us crazy for backing the team that’s lost 5 in a row over the team that’s won 4, but we are.

The jury is still out on this new Big 3 of Wade, Rondo, and Butler. Look for them to drop this one on the road.
