UFC 253 comes packed with fireworks from both inside the octagon and the betting lines as middleweight king Israel Adesanya settles his grudge with the unbeaten destroyer, Paulo Costa. Both fighters are explosive strikers and with ill will all but guaranteeing heated exchanges. Co-headlining are red-hot fighters Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz facing off for the vacant light heavyweight title. Let's break down these fights and see which bets we can cash.
Tour de France 2019 Preview and Odds
Tour de France 2019 odds are available on most if not all major online sportsbooks, with some big names missing from this year's field. Let's have a look at the Tour de France odds winner for 2019:
- Geraint Thomas +225
- Egan Bernal +250
- Warren Barguil +800
With the Grand Depart just about a week away, will this be the year the first American since Lance Armstrong wins event? In the last 13 years, 12 of the winners have been from Europe.
This race takes place over 3 grueling weeks and covers 3460km or 2150 miles.
There are 21 stages the athletes must endure: 7 flat stages, 5 hilly stages, 7 mountain stages, 1 individual time trial stage and 1 team time trial stage.
For only the second time ever, the Grand Depart, the start of the race will take place from Brussels, Belgium - a unique wrinkle to this year's event.
2019 Tour de France
Englishman Chris Froome, who won this event in 4 of 5 years from 2013-17 will miss this year's Tour de France, as will Tom Dumoulin, previous runner up, due to injury.
Froome's teammate and last year's victor, Welshman Geraint Thomas, leads the betting field. Current Tour de France odds for 2019 have him at +225 on both William Hill and BET365.
Co-Favorite, Colombian Egan Bernal, is also Froome's and Thomas' teammate with Ineos, and there is a lot of buzz surrounding the 22 year old phenom.
At +250 on BET365 Bernal may wind up getting the backing from his team management, as he won the recent Tour de Suisse after taking the leadership role from Geraint Thomas after Thomas crashed out of the race.
So the defending champion, Geraint Thomas is not entering this year's event in optimal form, but his teammate, 11 years his junior is. On a team that has groomed 5 of the last 6 Tour de France winners, odds are Ineos will be in contention again.
With a couple of serious contenders missing from the field, I suggest going with the younger cyclist who has won more recently. Bernal already has the backing of 3-time winner, Alberto Contador, who publically labeled him the "clear favorite. Last year Egan was +3300 to win the event and his price is now less than 1/10 of that.
Over a grueling 21 stages, the Ineos torch may be passed on to the youngster. So perhaps it will be a South American, wearing the yellow jersey when all is said and done.
PICK: EGAN BERNAL +250 on BET365
Tour de France King of the Mountain odds have last season's winner, Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe as the heavy favorite to win the mountain stages at +175 on BET365.
However, 2017 winner of the Polka Dot jersey Warren Barguil seems to be offering tremoundous value at +800.
With both being 27 years old and in their atheltic prime I could see them going neck and neck with Barguil anxious to reclaim the Montains.
PICK: Barguil to be crowned King of the Mountains +800 on BET365

Tour de France history
The average age of Tour de France winners is just over 28 years old. The youngest ever winner was Henri Cornet at age 19. The oldest ever was Firmin Lambot at age 36. Yet since the Lance Armstrong era, several winners have been in the age ranges of 32-24 so recent history would suggest a mature cyclist.
Last season Tour de France odds on favorite winner was 3 time defending Champion Chris Froome at +150 but it was teammate, Geraint Thomas who took the yellow jersey at a whopping +1800 price.
If you are looking for a cyclist in that price range, Frenchman Thibaut Pinot +1800, at 29 years old may be the value you play you are looking for.
