Ottawa vs Buffalo: Senators Host Sabres in NHL Playoff Mode
Ottawa Senators: Look to keep the good times rolling
Following a successful ten-day road trip, the Senators aim to continue their push towards a playoff position versus lowly Buffalo tonight. Ottawa rumbled through a five game road trip with three victories in California, an OT loss in Minnesota, and another win in Winnipeg. Hotter than a ten dollar pistol, the Sens have posted an 8-1-2 recent record and have moved to within five points of the bumbling Bruins for the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Buffalo Sabres: Aiming to fend off Edmonton in the Connor McDavid Sweepstakes
Appearing as if they aren’t totally tanking, Buffalo went 3-1-2 late in February. Realizing Edmonton was catching up in the “battle” for the NHL basement, the Sabers have since dropped two in a row as they lost 5-3 to the Panthers in Florida last Saturday and 3-0 in Tampa Bay on Tuesday. This is not a good hockey team folks as the Sabres are still last overall statically in almost every major category in the NHL. Connor McDavid would be a huge add in Buffalo for the 2015-16 NHL season.
