Welcome to Smashville! Tennessee's hockey home has become a frightening place to play for reasons that go beyond the mustard yellow that can spotted throughout the building. The Bridgestone Arena played host to the most regular season home wins in the Western Conference in 2014-15 and the Nashville Predators would like to keep that trend rolling on.
Nashville Predators Stadium
The Nashville Predators have called only one arena home since their 90s expansion origin and that's the building currently known as the Bridgestone Arena. Located in downtown Music City, the venue's played host to such memorable Preds moments as Nashville winning their first ever playoff series in 2011 and David Legwand's 2012 go-ahead goal against the Red Wings in 2012. Nashville hockey fans are also quick to brag about the rowdies located in Section 303 ("The Cellblock") and have countered Detroit's octopus slinging with the occasional catfish toss.
In what was expected to be a rebuilding calibre season, Nashville surprised analysts by finishing third in the Western Conference. The team was aided greatly by performing marvelously at home with no other team in the conference racking up more wins in their local barn. 28 of the team's 47 wins were notched at the Bridgestone Arena. Turnout for Preds games has been strong in Tennessee. Despite never escaping the second round in their franchise history, Bridgestone Arena has seen the building at 97.5% capacity average or higher in the last four seasons. Finally busting their way into the third round could see that number reach 100%, we reckon.
