Raiders at Cardinals NFL Friday Night Handicapping Action
Raiders Look to Get on Scoreboard Early and Often Friday Night
Oakland was shutout 3-0 in its pre-season opener against the Cowboys last week, so the Raiders will look to light up the scoreboard tonight when they visit the Cardinals. Carson Palmer, who completed just three passes last week, should get a longer look tonight, playing more than one series. Matt Leinart, who figures to be the primary backup to Palmer this year, completed 11 of 16 passes for 98 yards. Darren McFadden, the feature back for the Raiders, had only two carries last week but should see more time tonight.
Cardinals Searching for First Pre-Season Win
Arizona has struggled mightily to begin the pre-season, going 0-2 against the New Orleans Saints and the Kansas City Chiefs by a combined score of 44-27. Rumbles and grumbles are already starting in Arizona centered on whether or not Kevin Kolb is the franchise's quarterback moving forward after being acquired from the Eagles prior to last season. In his two games this pre-season, Kolb has completed two passes for 25 yards. He has also thrown one interception.
The online betting sportsbook of Sportsinteraction.com has a favorable line for Friday night's game featuring the Arizona Cardinals and the visiting Oakland Raiders. Oakland is +215 in the moneyline against the Cardinals on the road. Despite not scoring any points in their pre-season opener, we will take the Raiders tonight over the Cardinals.
