San Diego Chargers: Working towards .500
San Diego needs to win Thursday night if the Chargers want to get head coach Norv Turner off the proverbial hot seat. The Chargers are 3-4 but sit just one game behind the Denver Broncos for the top spot in the AFC West. San Diego suffered a rough 7-6 loss to Cleveland on Sunday after the bye week and will need better performances out of everyone on the roster to turn the season around.
Kansas City Chiefs: En route to very rough season
Kansas City has started the season 1-6 and there is no evidence to the team turning things around any time soon either. The Chiefs have been so bad that they have not even held a lead in regulation during any of their seven games to date. Kansas City has shuffled between quarterbacks this season because of injuries as Matt Cassel will start instead of Brady Quinn, who took over for Cassel earlier this year. It is a shame that these two teams are not better than they are because this could be an excellent game otherwise. Both teams have struggled in the turnover department this year, which could mean there are plenty of fireworks tonight. The online sportsbooks have the Chargers as -8 (-115) favorites to take home the win. We will take the Chargers with the point spread tonight over the Chiefs.
