Odds to win Australian Open 2020: Andreescu and the Faves
Andreescu will look to build on her epic 2019 run by adding yet another major to her belt and she's the second-best bet to do it per odds to win Australian Open 2020.
The 19-year-old could be a risky bet though as she is dealing with chronic knee injuries, the same that forced her out of the ASB Classic in New Zealand.
Assuming Andreescu will be fully healthy, she'll still have to go through a slew of elite contenders led by Serena Williams (6.00) who is a seven-time champion and has won two of the last four Australian Open's she's competed in.
Beyond these two, current world number-one and local favourite Ashleigh Barty (8.50) will look to breakthrough and become the first Aussie to win the tournament since Chris O'Neil over 40 years ago.
Last year's winner, Naomi Osaka (9.50) will also be a contender to watch although no female player has repeated as champion since Victoria Azarenka in 2013.
You can tune in to TSN or Rogers Sportsnet to get Australian Open coverage and where to watch Bianca Andreescu.
Australian Open mens odds: Djokovic versus the Field
While Andreescu is among the favourites on the women's side, the Australian Open men's odds aren't too kind to anyone not named "Novak Djokovic" including the Canadians.
Djokovic (2.50) is a moderate favourite to repeat as champion. In the last decade, he's won the tournament six times and he is a perfect 7-0 when playing in the Finals.
The only two players who could stand a chance are Rafael Nadal (4.25) and Roger Federer (9.00), also the second and third-best bets per recent Australian Open odds.
Nadal has lost his last four Finals appearances and is 0-2 against Djokovic in the tournament. Federer has won two of the last three tournaments but has not beaten Djokovic in a major since 2012.
As for the Canadians, both veterans Milos Raonic and Denis Shapovalov are huge underdogs (51.00) while young upstart Felix Auger Aliassime (67.00) finally makes the board.
