UFC 253 comes packed with fireworks from both inside the octagon and the betting lines as middleweight king Israel Adesanya settles his grudge with the unbeaten destroyer, Paulo Costa. Both fighters are explosive strikers and with ill will all but guaranteeing heated exchanges. Co-headlining are red-hot fighters Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz facing off for the vacant light heavyweight title. Let's break down these fights and see which bets we can cash.
Best 2017 NFL Future Odds
The NFL season is getting closer and closer. As the rosters begin to officially take shape, do you have a theory on who is going to do what this year? Of course you do. You’re a football fan, dammit! You have opinions and theories! So let’s start making some money off of them.
Here are a few more of the interesting bets for the coming NFL season. And we know you will have a strong opinion on them.
TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS - NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Yes 1.01 - No 13.00
Yes, it would take something massive to keep the Patriots from making the playoffs for only the third time in 16 years. An injury could do it. Or, as anyone from ‘Mass would tell you, “Goodall is the only thing that can keep us from the playoffs."
TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS - OAKLAND RAIDERS
Yes 1.45 - No 2.55
Beast Mode is back. But what will that mean for the Raiders? He’s taken his talents home to the Bay area, but he’s also taken a year off. Is that good news or bad news when you’re 31-years-old and a running back?
Did this give him a chance to rest nagging injuries and press reset on his mind? Or rob him of a year of his prime? We shall see.
Super Bowl LII - Outright
- New England Patriots 4.50
- Oakland Raiders 7.00
- Green Bay Packers 10.00
- Seattle Seahawks 11.00
- Pittsburgh Steelers 12.00
Notice how the aforementioned Raiders just snuck in there at the number two. Marshawn Lynch is an impact player, of course. But maybe we’re just not feeling his move to Oakland as deeply as a lot of other bettors. Yes, the improved from 7 wins to 12 wins from 2015 to 2016, and now they’ve added Lynch. They’re on the move, but they still haven’t won a playoff game since 2002.
We’re not firm believers in such a massive leap. They’re talented, they’re on the rise and they’re going to be fun to watch. But ranking them ahead of the Packers is absurd.
The Green Bay Packers upset the top-seeded Dallas Cowboys 34–31, before losing to the second-seeded Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship Game 44–21. I think they’ll be strong this year, and Aaron Rodgers is not going away any time soon.
And then there’s the Seahawks, Lynch’s former team. They did OK-not-great without him last year, and lost to the eventual NFC champion Atlanta Falcons in the playoffs. They’re now in separate conferences, so they wouldn’t meet until the Super Bowl… But how fun would that action be? And crazier things have happened, from an odds perspective.
TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS - CLEVELAND BROWNS
Yes 10.00- No 1.02
Ok, let’s get a little nutty here. I think there are far crazier bets than the Browns making the playoffs this year. I’d take this bet. Yes, they went 1-15 last year. I know, I know. That looks bad. Yes, they’ve been the NFL’s worst team over the last quarter of a century. But things are looking up.
I know, I know you’ve heard that before. “The Browns’ young talent will make them better.” But seriously. I am a firm believer in the freakish lineup of Myles Garrett and David Njoku on offense with Jabrill Peppers on D.
I think a lot of teams are going to sleep on them and they’re going to win some games this year. And they may just end up in the playoffs for the first time since 2002.
