Anybody shopping for me for Christmas needs to buy me special Bowl season pants with an elastic band waist. Because I am going nowhere and doing nothing until after the Sugar Bowl. Then I’ll probably go outside and breathe some air for a bit, and then back into football-related hibernation.
I really prefer this college football playoff system over the old BCS System. And this is probably the best slate of games we’ve has since the end of the BCS experiment. So here is a breakdown of what to expect in the championship games, as well as a few other interesting matchups.

The Sooners have won their last 8 games, and not for nothing, are 5-1 in beating the spread over their last 6 games. So they’re hot and they’re confident when they take on Georgia. But Georgia has won their last 3 games by 80+ points combined. And they rebounded to avenge a loss to #7 Auburn. I like the Dawgs.

Hey speaking of Auburn, this Bama team lost to Auburn. Just saying, if Alabama and Georgia both make it to the final game, Auburn fans are gonna be pissed, as their team holds a win over both teams in the same calendar month.
As for Clemson, what can you say? They’re ranked #1, but not favored to win by most oddsmakers. They have beaten Auburn, for the record. They also handled #11 Miami Fl in their last game in a good showing. I like their chances and their odds.

We’ve already said that this Auburn team has a win against 2 out of the 4 teams currently playing for a National Championship. So they’re allowed to enter the year in a bad mood. That last loss to Georgia stung, especially after they blew the Bulldogs out by 23 points in their previous game. So does losing that last one piss them off and motivate them, or take their fighting spirit away?
I think they will respond and end the season with a win.
