Betting on the NFL is great because there is just SO much to bet on. And we’re not just talking about the sheer number of games. Your Thursday through Mondays are full of NFL action (even though the future of Thursday football is in flux). Betting on the outcome or score is boring.

October can’t come soon enough. For real baseball fans, World Series fever isn’t a seasonal affliction. It’s something they walk around with every day. The Grey Cup is nearly here and it’s Calgary versus everyone, as far as the oddsmakers are concerned. It’s going to be interesting. The Stamps actually limped into the playoffs (more like crawled) and we’re likely going to have a team from out West win the Eastern Conference. Keep reading to see how the road to the Grey Cup will play out.

And just like that, the Montréal Canadiens are the hottest team in their division. OK, granted they have only won a single game in a row. But they're actually only one of two teams In the Atlantic Division who won their last game (The Red Wings being the other). But that's not important. What's important is Montreal is going out on the road after a much-needed home win against the New York Rangers. How will they fare tonight in Ottawa?

This is the most winnable game the Montréal Canadiens are going to see for quite some time, so it's one they need very very desperately. They flirted with a little thing called winning, with the 5 to 1 victory over the Panthers, then got hammered by the Kings. How will they fare tonight?

Well, this will be the most underratedly awesome Thursday Night Game we’ve had so far this season. Last week, we were treated to a Raiders vs Chiefs classic that saw Marshawn Lynch get ejected, and then go sit in the crowd. Not saying we’re going to be treated to THAT ever again, but I like the way these two teams line up. These guys aren’t in the same division, but you wouldn’t know it because they’ve met in each of the last 4 seasons, with Baltimore winning 3 of those games.

Habs win! Habs win! Habs win! Well, the bleeding has stopped for now. The Montreal Canadiens ended their god awful losing streak to start the season, and did it in impressive fashion. They actually turned in a strong offensive and defensive performance against the Florida Panthers, in a 5-1 home win. Desperately needed. This was a hot knife to cauterize a gushing wound. But how will they fare tonight against the red-hot LA Kings?

What's the difference between the Montréal Canadiens and a square? A square has four points. Get it? Get it? I know, Habs fans are not laughing right now. Their team has lost seven games in a row and they are currently sitting in dead last place in the Eastern Conference. A tough schedule has helped literally nothing, but the road-weary Montreal team has returned home against the Florida Panthers tonight. How will they fare?

This is painful. Truly truly, painful. The Montreal Canadiens have gone to a dark place. They have lost their last 6 games, after getting throttled in their last game against the San Jose Sharks by a score of 5 to 1. They are now tied for the second-worst record in the National Hockey League, and they can only look down on the winless Phoenix Coyotes. In your face, Coyotes!
