Continuing with tradition, the BC Lions are once again one of the top picks to win the Grey Cup. The Lions begin 2017 with a twenty-year playoff streak, meaning they are no stranger to success during the regular seasons. They have not been as successful in the playoffs, winning only three Grey Cups over the same time frame, but have a great chance at winning another in 2017.

After finishing tied for last in the Canadian Football League, the Toronto Argonauts went through a dramatic overhaul this offseason hiring a new coach and general manager. The glut of changes should help the Argos in 2017, but they still face an uphill climb if they want to return to the playoffs.

Two years of finishing last in the CFL has led to some significant changes for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The offseason saw the team say goodbye to their longtime starting quarterback, sign a former NFL star and add one of the top free agents. While, it may not be enough to vault them to 2017 Grey Cup champion, the team has fixed many holes this offseason. Of course, the one they have yet to solve is the one behind centre.

The Penguins made an emphatic statement after blowing out Ottawa 7-0 and are now one win away from returning to the Stanley Cup Finals. The Pens scored four goals within ten minutes and never looked back. The Sens return home in a do-or-die situation being the last Canadian team standing. Game 6 is in Ottawa Tuesday 8:00 PM ET.

The Predators stunned the Ducks and took a critical 3-2 series lead in Anaheim. The Ducks scored first but couldn't muster any offense. Goaltender John Gibson, arguably their best player left after the first period. The Preds won amidst losing top scorer, Ryan Johansen and will look to close out Anaheim back in Nashville. Game 6 is Monday 8:00 PM ET.

Coming off their best season in over a decade, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers hope to continue to in the right direct in 2017 and end the longest current Grey Cup championship drought in the CFL. Head coach Mike O’Shea has assembled an elite defense and will lean on it in 2017. If the group can elevate its play and their offense is at minimum average than the Blue Bombers could have enough to make a championship run.

After winning their first Grey Cup in franchise history, the Ottawa Redblacks look to be the first repeat champions since 2010. This offseason saw some turnover in Ottawa, particularly the retirement of Grey Cup MVP quarterback Henry Burris. Still head coach Rick Campbell has been able to get the best out of his players and the Redblacks have enough pieces to make a push for their third straight Grey Cup appearance.

The 142nd running of the Preakness Stakes is live as top pick Always Dreaming looks to win his second jewel following a 2 3/4th length victory at the Kentucky Derby. Dreaming goes up against nine other horses with some he already beat in the Derby and some fresh faces. The race starts Saturday 6:48 PM ET.
