Now seems to be the school's time but North Carolina is back for their 11th appearance going for their sixth title. Gonzaga has the best player in Nigel Williams-Goss but UNC's overall team and frontcourt could prove to be the difference maker.

Gonzaga and North Carolina played through some tight competition to get here making this an even more satisfying championship game. The Zags had a back-and-forth tilt with South Carolina blowing their 14-point lead only to storm back and edge the Gamecocks 77-73. UNC meanwhile went at it with Oregon even surviving four missed free throws at the final seconds to outlast the Ducks 77-76.
Both team showed the ability to overcome their vulnerable spots there showing strength of mind. They both have the makings of a champion but only one will prevail. The Zags has consistently shown the ability to handle pressure and win back leads or do enough to get by. UNC has controlled most of their games from start to end. When two of your key players miss clutch free throws and they still find a way to win, you've got a squad that just knows how to win.

The Bulldogs' big men are the x-factor for the Zags. North Carolina has consistently used their rebounding to seal victories. Przemek Karnowski and Zach Collins combined for 27 points against South Carolina. They'll need to find ways to win the battle for the boards without getting into foul trouble or UNC's talented frontcourt will just feast. Nigel Williams-Goss continues to play at a high-level but can't do it all for the Zags. Jordan Mathews stepped up for the Zags and should during the national title game.

Joel Berry II will have to bounce back from his rough outing last time including missing a clutch free throw despite shooting 80% for the season. He'll make amends by shooting better than 14% (2 of 14) and hitting key shots towards the end of the second half.
