Max Holloway tried to create history by going up to the 155 division and becoming 'Champ Champ' in his last bout at UFC 236 when he was unsuccessful in a unanimous decision loss to Dustin Poirier.
But you can not fault the bold decision by Max to do so as he had already staked his claim as the greatest 145 lb fighter of all time after reeeling off 13 straight wins in the division.
But this Saturday, Max "Blessed" Holloway returns not only to his best weight, but to Canada, a home away from home when he takes on another MMA all time great in Frankie "the Answer" Edgar.
In terms of fighting styles, for Edgar, who is a +300 underdog , he needs to get this fight to the ground. Over the course of their careers Holloway has landed 6.93 strikes per minute to Edgar's 3.59.
Holloway is just the overall better and busier striker. However, Edgar averages 2.47 takedowns per 15 minutes to Holloway's 0.29.
So the formula for Edgar would be to get on top of Holloway and win based on control time, but this is much easier said than done.
Even in Poirier's win over Holloway at UFC 236, Poirier was only successful on 1 of his 8 take down attempts and wound up with less than 2 minutes of control time.
So with this I see more of chess match breaking out where Edgar will attempt his fair share of take downs but not complete as many of them as he would like.
Conversely, Holloway won't be able to square off against Edgar in a gun fight in the centre of the octagon as much as he would like with both guys ultimately seeing who can outscore the other in brief moments.
I think Holloway outscores him in the stand up but will not finish Edgar who is 10 years his senior.

There has been one more explosive fight added to this card as two young phenoms, Zabit Magomedsharipov and Brian Ortega have been slated against one another.
Zabit has opened as a -188 UFC Odds favorite on BET365 and perhaps rightfully so as, Zabit looks to be one of the trickiest innovative fighters we have seen in a long time.
Zabit (17-1) is a very unique individual with the ability to pull many tricks out of his bag winning 6 fights by KO and 7 by submission in his 18 career fights.
However, Brian "T-City" Ortega looks to be offering great value for what seems like a coin flip. And he has shown the ability to pull just as many tricks out of his bag winning 7 contests via submission and 3 by KO in 15 career fights.
This has the potential to be one of the best fights of the year, with one of the competitors offering sneaky value.
