UFC 253 comes packed with fireworks from both inside the octagon and the betting lines as middleweight king Israel Adesanya settles his grudge with the unbeaten destroyer, Paulo Costa. Both fighters are explosive strikers and with ill will all but guaranteeing heated exchanges. Co-headlining are red-hot fighters Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz facing off for the vacant light heavyweight title. Let's break down these fights and see which bets we can cash.

UFC 251: bet any of these three dogs - or all of them
Jorge Masvidal to win at 3.10
It seems ridiculous to bet against Usman as he has been the UFC's second-most dominant active fighter next to Khabib Nurmagomedov. However, Masvidal at 3.10 to win? These odds are too good to pass up. Some factors favour "The Eastcoast Badboy" here.
Masvidal is a veteran of the fight game and will know what to do to beat Usman. Masvidal is also a better grappler. And lately, Masvidal has looked pretty unstoppable, this will be a very tough fight for Usman.
The pick is still Usman, however, this is a dog or pass bet as Masvidal is good enough to hopefully, make it close enough and sway two of the judges.
Max Holloway to win at 2.90
It was an understated shocker when the "Blessed Era" ended at the hands of Volkanovski. It was a difficult fight for the former champ who found himself chopped down by Volkanovski's powerful kicks. However, Holloway is ever so fluid and versatile and found some success fighting the Aussie as a southpaw.
This fight is closer to being a pick'em than odds indicate. By this merit, Holloway possesses more value yielding close to a 3-1 payout. Volkanovski still holds the reach advantage, but Holloway can match him in volume, technique, and power.
This is also a crossroads for Holloway. He needs this win or it may be a road to MMA purgatory. He'll be more focused than ever and bring out a side of Holloway we haven't seen.
Jiří Procházka to win at 2.37
Procházka is low-key one of the UFC's top recruits and is on a fast track to a championship fight - if he gets pass Volkan Oezdemir, the division's hardest one-punch hitter. This will be a Fight of the Night contender with potential for an explosive finish.
Although Oezdemir is more of a striker, he might elect to go to the ground as Procházka is the more qualified striker with 23 of his 26 wins coming via knockout. Maybe it'll be "octagon jitters" or a step-up in the competition that does Procházka in, but he is the better striker.
Procházka should keep the fight standing where he could light up Oezdemir and cash out on that sweet underdog money.
Best UFC 251 special bets: parlays, props, and lottery plays
Rose Namajunas to win (1.50) and Petr Yan to win (1.40) at 2.25
Namajunas lost her title in a fluky way. Credit to Jessica Andrade who had the power to suplex her on her head, but that won't happen again. Namajunas was piecing up Andrade before that ill-advised kimura. To win this fight, which will only be three rounds, she'll keep her distance and outstrike Andrade.
Yan is almost like a slightly smaller version of Volkanovski: he is fast, powerful, and a meticulous striker. He's dominated all of his opponents and he hasn't even shown his best yet. Aldo is just as deadly as a striker, but old fighters dropping down in weight tend to be a shell of themselves. Yan will destroy Aldo.
Ribas vs VanZant doesn't go to decision at 2.00
Women's MMA fights tend to go to a decision, but not this one. It's not that Ribas or VanZant have surefire finishing ability, but rather that both can have moments of being wild and reckless. Enough moments like these will lead to a finish in some way - most likely a sub.
Romanov vs Tybura goes to decision at 2.10
On the opposing logic, big boy fights like these tend to not go to a decision. However, heavyweight fights tend to go the distance when they aren't finished within the first round-and-a-half. Tybura is a measured and exacting fighter and Romanov does not have a reliable gas tank. Tybura might just ride this out to a decision.
