Blues vs Predators: First Meets Worst in NHL Central Division Clash
St. Louis: Have owned the Predators in recent battles
This is the fourth of five contests between these two clubs this season with St. Louis winning the first three by a 14-6 combined count. The Blues have also won eight of the last nine games against the Predators including four straight in Nashville. In a classic 'the rich get richer" scenario, the Blues stocked up at the trade deadline as they acquired goalie Ryan Miller from Buffalo. That certainly helps our call for the Blues to win the West.
Nashville: Central Division cellar dwellers are looking to next season
After qualifying for the NHL postseason in seven of eight seasons, Nashville will be on the outside looking in for a second straight year as their 26-26-10 record has them occupying the Central Division cellar. Out for most of the season with a hip injury, Pekka Rinne is back in goal for the Predators but Nashville just traded their top point scorer as they shipped David Legwand to the Detroit Red Wings at the NHL trade deadline. OBC Prediction: We like the low money line price - Back the Blues with a 500 unit wager!
