Los Angeles vs San Diego: Dodgers dominate the Padres
Meeting for the tenth time in 2015, Los Angeles own a 6-3 season series record versus San Diego. Dating back to September 2013, the Dodgers are 5-0 when LHP Clayton Kershaw (5-3 ERA 3.36) starts versus the Padres - including a 6-3 win on Opening Day in April. RHP Odrisamer Despaigne (3-4 ERA 4.72) who was lit up for seven runs on eight hits over 4.1 innings in his last start against the Dodgers (08/09/2014) gets the call for the Padres. San Diego is five games behind Los Angeles in the NL West Division. Don't be fooled by Kershaw's ERA as he is starting to heat up.
Arizona Diamondbacks vs San Francisco: Anderson battles Bumgarner
Following a 21-9 romp through the month of May, San Francisco has wobbled slightly in June with a 4-5 record. Inconsistent since the start of the season, largely due to their abysmal 4.41 team ERA, Arizona has lost four straight and they were just swept by the Dodgers by a 19-10 margin during a three game series in Los Angeles. Giants LHP Madison Bumgarner (7-2 ERA 3.38) faces Arizona for the third time this season and San Francisco is 8-2 when their MVP starts versus the D-Backs. Arizona counters with RHP Chase Anderson (1-1 ERA 3.12) in the battle on the bump.
