Los Angeles Lakers: Rebounding after rough start
Following a rough start to the season and the firing of head coach Mike Brown, Mike D'Antoni begins his era as the Lakers head coach on Tuesday night in LA. The Lakers are now 5-5, with a 5-3 mark at home, after beginning the season with a 1-4 mark. LA is on a 4-1 run right now, all under interim head coach Bernie Bickerstaff, who will stay on the new coaching staff.
Brooklyn Nets: Off to fast start with new home
With a new home, the Brooklyn Nets have gotten off to a hot 6-2 start to the season. They are 2-1 on the road and are meeting the Lakers for the first of two games tonight this season. The Nets are also in the midst of a five-game winning streak but have lost eight straight in the all-time series against the Lakers. Brooklyn has its best shot tonight to end that streak.
Brooklyn and Los Angeles are two teams headed in the right direction, one after moving from New Jersey, and the other after firing its head coach.
