Kings Stanley Cup run reads like a Hollywood script
Oliver Stone and Woody Allen are probably impressed by the script Los Angeles has been writing during the 2014 NHL playoffs. Call them the Cardiac Kids or the Comeback Kids as, no matter how you slice it, the Kings have battled a ton of adversity and punched it right in the face. LA has not had a lead at any point during the first two games of the Cup Final, except after their two OT winners, and they have come back from two-goal deficits four times now. Five straight and six of the last seven Kings contests have been decided by one goal.
Rangers will get a lift from raucous Madison Square Garden support
Missed and somewhat controversial calls aside - New York couldn't close the deal in Hollywood. The visitors went 1-8 on the power-play and were out shot 87-65 during the first two contests at the Staples Center. A very raucous crowd at the Garden, plus the advantage of having the last line change, comes with being back in the Big Apple. Both goaltenders have had up and down nights during the postseason so there isn't much of slant in between the pipes. If the Rangers can't get and keep the lead tonight - the fat lady will be ready to sing.
