The Open Championship: Betting Odds for the 144th British Open
Jordan Spieth leads the Big 4 chalk betting Crew
Attempting to become the first golfer to win The Masters, the US Open and the British Open, since Ben Hogan first turned the trick in 1953, Jordan Spieth headlines the Big 4 vs The Field prop option posted. Spieth is joined by Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler and Justin Rose, as the fabulous four top chalk to claim The Open Championship. Spieth and Johnson who battled in the US Open are joined by Hideki Matsuyama on the tee at 4:33 AM ET. Rose and Fowler blast off at 9:45 AM ET with three-time Open Champion Nick Faldo who is playing in his 33rd and final British Open.
Star-studded Field from around the Planet will attempt to conquer the Fabulous Four
Although the top four chalk are deserving of their lofty status on betting board, the list of 152 golfers that make up the “Field” includes some serious Claret Jug contenders. While more than a few of them are well past their prime, 19 former Open Champions will tee it up at the 2015 British Open. Of the title holders in that illustrious group, Louis Oosthuizen who won at St Andrews in 2010, and Phil Mickelson who claimed the 2013 Open at Muirfield, add some fight to the Field.
Big 4 vs The Field Open Championship Call: Rickie Fowler concerns us more than anyone else in the Fab Four as he tuned up by edging Matt Kuchar and Raphael Jacquelin in the Scottish Open Championship last week. If Rory Mcllroy was not sidelined with an ankle injury, he would probably replace Rose while a lack of experience on tracks across the pond will be a handicap for Johnson and Spieth. Give us the Field with a 500 unit wager on The Open Championship odds posted on the betting board.
