Bronx Bombers and Sabathia still have some pop
Leading the AL East by 2.5 games over the Baltimore Orioles, New York has surprised us with their 15-10 season opening run. The Yankees have won ten of their past 14 games including two of three at home against the LA Angels on the weekend. A promising 4-1 start has melted away to mediocrity for a slumping Seattle squad as the Mariners have lost 12 of their last 17 contest - including an eight game losing run. On the bright side, the Mariners have won three of their last four contests including two straight versus their AL West rival Texas. RHP Chris Young versus LHP CC Sabathi is a pitching match-up favoring New York at home.
Motor City Cats are being closely followed in the AL Central Division
Still ruling the roost in the AL Central, but just by one game over both Minnesota and Chicago, Detroit has won six of ten games and they split a four-game series versus the White Sox during a mid-week clash last week. The Tigers and Sox scored a combined 31 runs in those four games. Chicago is keeping pace in the ALC as they have posted a 6-3 recent record. We like RHP Justin Verlander over LHP Jose Quintana in this Windy City showdown. We will wager 200 units on a parlay with the New York and Detroit runs lines.
