The NFL’s AFC North has famously hard-nosed and smashmouth teams, which has led to the north being called “The toughest division in football.” It is the current home to the Baltimore Ravens, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers. In recent years, the Ravens, Steelers, and Bengals have all had talented and comparable teams, which will all be playoff threats. The Browns have struggled to carve out their piece of the action, but never count them out completely.
The North isn’t where you want to place your bet, if you’re looking for a safe, heavy favorite. In most cases, the division is pretty even. This means any #3 team could absolutely beat the #1 team– particularly on their home field.

How To Bet On American Football Conference North
This is a tough one to call. The Bengals have had the most success recently and show no signs of moving backwards. However, a healthy season for the Steelers would be disruptive. If Ben Roethlisberger and Le'Veon Bell are healthy all season, they’re going to win a lot of games and score a lot of points. That IS a big “if” though. If the Steelers falter , especially early in the season, that can only help the Bengals.
The Ravens were beat up and injured most of last year, and their record reflected that. So look for them to bounce back with a (hopefully) fully-loaded and healthy roster that can compete with nearly anyone. If any team steals the division, it’s them.
To be blunt, the Cleveland Browns are going to be very, very bad. So, if you were to bet against any team, this would be the one. 5 wins for them on the season would be a stretch. But, they will win at least 3 or 4. Picking when these wins will happen can earn you a great payday on Sunday.
However, everyone else in the division seems to just be much, much better. You can make a strong case for any of the other 3 teams making a playoff push… not so much the Browns.
